GOLDEN AND SILVER JUBILEE BELLS RING FOR SRS. SERAPHINA, JANE, SAHAYA , NEETA, LISSY AND SHEELA !
On 1st January, the colourfully and tastefully decorated St. Mary’s Convent C.J Provincial House vibrated the air of celebrations in gratitude and joyful remembrance of the 50 golden years of Srs. Seraphina and Jane as well as 25 silver years of Srs. Sahaya, Neeta, Lissy and Sheela working for the Lord’s greater glory in the Congregation of Jesus .
A solemn thanksgiving Eucharist was officiated by Rt. Rev. Dr. RaphyManjaly , the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Allahabad and was concelebrated by the Vicar Generals of Allahabad and Lucknow-Rev Fr. Louis Mascarenhas , Rev.Fr. Donald, Sr. Jane’s nephews - Rev. Fr. Mathew Chennakudy , Rev.Fr. Suraj CMI, and a good number of other priests . The presence and prayers of Sisters from various CJ communities, other religious Congregations, family members, relatives and friends of the jubilarians added grace and delight to all concerned. The Eucharist was followed by the felicitation of the jubilarians who were greeted with shawls, bouquets and garlands .Thereafter everyone enjoyed a delicious fellowship meal.
