Description:
On 29th January 2019 during a solemn Eucharistic celebration, two novices, Srs. Bharati and Anita, received their religious dress from the hands of the Provincial Superior Sr.Roshni C.J. as a mark of their identity as religious women in the Congregation of Jesus. Moreover, Sisters, Ruby, Juliana, Maria Goretti, and Alma, renewed their temporary Vows for a further period of time and re-dedicated their life for the service of God and His people. The ceremony was attended by a number of Priests, Religious, the parents and relatives of the brides. Rev.Fr. Isidore, the main celebrant, in his homely highlighted the core values of the Vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience. The melodious choir, led by Sr. Florence, Sr. Martha and the team made the occasion more inspirational.
On 30th January at 10:30 a.m. Sr. Amla CJ, made her final commitment to the Lord in the Congregation of Jesus, and Sr. Bharati as well as Sr. Anita made their first profession of religious commitment, during the solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist officiated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Raphy Manjali, Bishop of Allahabad in the beautifully decorated St. Joseph’s Cathedral bedecked with beautiful flowers and twinkling lights; a good number of priests con-celebrated at Mass. The joy of the occasion was redoubled by the presence of a large congregation of religious, friends, relatives and family members of the brides. The angelic singing of the choir comprising Rev. Frs. Reginald, Jacob Bona, Vipin, Aravind, Sr. Martha and her team added delight and solemnity to the occasion.
This was followed by the felicitation ceremony of the brides and a sumptuous fellowship meal in SMC21, Provincial House.
