Theme: “Reimagining the Path as Pilgrims of Hope”
The day began with a deep sense of gratitude and excitement as 43 members of the province gathered in the mother house for another milestone in the history of the province. The meaningfully and creatively prepared Holy Eucharistic celebration set a solemn tone for the day ahead. The aptly prepared introduction by Sr. Sumita, unfolded the theme “Reimagining the Path as Pilgrims of Hope.” Sister invited the participants to gaze courageously at the road before us—not with fear or hesitation, but with hearts rooted in God and open to His unfolding mystery. Like true pilgrims, we may not possess all the answers, yet we walk forward in trust, knowing that every step, every encounter, and every shared insight is woven into God’s larger invitation to renewal and grace.
Drawing inspiration from our beloved Foundress, Venerable Mary Ward, Sr. Sumita recalled her prophetic words, “Women in time to come will do much.” Her daring faith and unwavering trust in Divine Providence continue to echo powerfully in our hearts today—calling us to walk in faith and freedom, to listen to the whisperings of the Spirit, and to respond with courage to the cries of the poor.
Fr. Joseph D’Mello, the main celebrant, in his homily, reminded us “When we run without God, it becomes a race; but when we run with Him, it becomes grace.” His words invited us to ascertain that our mission flows not merely from our own effort, but from the companionship with the Divine—a partnership in love.
